Here is the complete itinerary of our special Everest base camp trek. If you are looking for your own customized itinerary, feel free to contact us.

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal lies in the valley surrounded by beautiful green hills from all sides. If you come through the airways, our representative will be there in the airport terminal with your name to give you a warm welcome. After greeting you, our representative will drop you in your hotel and help you with all the check-in works. If you are arriving through the road, our representative will meet you at the respective destination. There will be no activities planned for you. You can take a rest and if you want to explore nearby you can go and explore yourself as well. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will be taken to visit some of the famous landmarks of Kathmandu such as  Boudhanath Stupa, Swyambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square. They all are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and protected areas as all of them are historically, culturally rich, and ancient. You will get to explore these heritage sites with our experienced city tour guide. You will get a chance to know about the historical facts, stories and all the information related to these sites. 

Swyambhunath Stupa is one of the self-sprung Buddhist and Hindu temples, also called the monkey temple. You will enjoy the stupas, temples, shrines, monasteries, and many more things to explore. Similarly, Boudhanath Stupa is one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in Asia and it's an important pilgrimage center for Tibetian Buddhism. Likewise, Pashupatinath Temple is Nepal's biggest Hindu temple that lies on the bank of the Bagmati River, where people worship Lord Shiva shine. Watching the Hindu cremation rites at the bank of the Bagmati river might be a very new experience for you. Patan Durbar Square is one of the three royal squares in the valley. Built-in the medieval era, the Durbar Square used to be the Malla ruler's royal palace and was later used by Shah Kings. 

After your amazing whole day city excursion, you will get back to your hotel. After that, we will go to one Nepali Cultural Restaurant where you will get both delicious Nepali food along with an amazing cultural performance. Once you land at the Lukla Airport, you will meet your porters who will carry your luggage. Leaving the airport, you will walk through the busy and cozy Lukla village, market, and make your way down to Phakding. The first day of your trek is quite easy as you will walk through the vibrant villages, sherpa houses, and lower alpine forests of the Everest region. You will walk through the ridges of the Dudhkoshi river, beautiful hills, and stunning landscapes. You will cross one suspension bridge before reaching Phakding. After 3 hours of gentle hike, you will reach the beautiful village Phakding. Overnight at the teahouse in Phakding.

After breakfast, we will make an early start along the bank of Dudh Koshi river, crossing the thrilling suspension bridges laden with prayers flags. It is a rigorous walk filled with steep ascents. Though the scenery is breathtaking and landscapes are magical. As we reach Manjo, we will enter inside the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trail passes steeply with breathtaking views including the longest Hillary Suspension bridge before ascending to Namche Bazaar. 

Namche Bazaar (considered the Gateway to Everest) is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange services, internet cafes, and bakeries. A Sherpa settlement, the town is carved on the side of the steep mountain face. Namche is the biggest town along the Everest trail. Overnight at a comfortable teahouse run by a Sherpa family.

We will spend a day in Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning air. We will trek a short distance to a museum that is celebrated for its exhibits of the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. We will also hike up to the Syangboche Airport and the Everest View Hotel, one of the highest-placed hotels in the world. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas including Mt Everest.

After that, we'll organize a sanitation and cleaning program in Namche Bazaar and spread awareness about mountain cleaning. The Sagarmatha National Park, Local Community along with our team will involve in this campaign in Namche Bazaar.

The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. We have trekked to an altitude of 3,860 m upon reaching Tengboche. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or in the morning depending on how the trekking goes this day. After that, we'll descent a little and stay alongside the Imja river in beautiful Debuche village.

From Debuche, the trail passes through the alpine Rhododendron forest, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We take our time, so we avoid getting affected by the altitude.

Acclimatization day in Dingboche. Today we will spend a second night at Dingboche as a part of our acclimatization plan. Dingboche (or Pheriche) is the second acclimatization stop for most trekkers. For us, this is the third acclimatization stop as we spent an extra day in Deboche.

Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We continue to climb as we are heading to the village of Lobuche which is located at the foot of giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude.

This is a big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5,364 m, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. During spring, there will likely be expedition teams about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We return back to Gorak Shep for the night.

This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of the morning is spent climbing Kala Patthar, a small peak at 5,555 m. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama    Everest, the highest point on the planet at 8,848 m, towers directly ahead, and on all sides loom the giants such as Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse, and countless others. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep and have a hot breakfast, and then trek down to Pangboche crossing Pheriche village.

Leaving the mountains behind us, our descent takes us through Debuche and Tengboche before continuing to the town of Namche Bazaar. We arrive back in Namche in the afternoon.

This is our last day of trekking as we return to Lukla where the trek began. We enjoy this time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part. Enjoying the last glimpse of the mountains we have recently visited, the 35 minutes scenic flight takes us back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, we are met and transferred back to our hotel. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural dance performances.

Additional Info

Flight, Transportation and Luggage

The flight is very important for Everest Base Camp Trek. While you are going to Lukla from Kathmandu or  Kathmandu from Lukla  Some time will not fly on time because of the weather so after finish the trekking you need to take a private helicopter from Lukla to Kathmandu to catch the international flight so you have to take minimum 02 days extra for Tengboche Trek. Everest Base Camp Trek starts transport from Airport to Hotel and hotel to airport by drive then Kathmandu to Lukla to Kathmandu by flight. The hotel pick-up facility would be done by private vehicles whereas flight via twin otter aircraft. In Kathmandu, you will get 4 to 5-star standard hotel or resort accommodation. During the trekking part,  rooms will be basic, normally just a bed with a pillow and blankets. You will have a private room but the bathroom will be outside. There are some guest houses with attached bathrooms as well but they will cost extra.

High Altitude Sickness

Everest Base Camp Trek would be a lifetime memory in your life. If you are not fit we will not recommend you to go this trekking. While you are going toward the Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and Kalapatthar (5,545m) you have to eat a lot of food to keep your body hydrated. If you have other problems you have to admit the hospital as soon as possible and in this case, you call the helicopter for rescue and our staff will help you with your treatment. If you have medical insurance the rescue helicopter payment will be covered by the insurance company so medical insurance is necessary to go this trekking.

Trekking Grade, Group Leader and Crew

Everest Base Camp Trek is a pretty long trek that goes right into the high mountain country, so it is physically quite strenuous which involves approx 5-8 hours trekking along the way. There is no previous experience required, used to some regular exercise and enjoy walking in the high altitude conditions. It would be additional support if you could have done high mountain trekking before. We promise we will provide Trained Experienced honesty with local Trekking Guide and Sherpa staff when there are 8 or more members in the Group and porters to carry your luggage and there will be 1 porter for 2 members.

Weather

The best seasons for Everest Base Camp Trek are from mid-September till November end and from the beginning of March until the end of May. The morning time is usually clear, with clouds building up during the afternoon, & disappearing at night. Trekking during the monsoon and winter is also possible with the proper precautions and safety. 

Food and Drinking Water

We will provide freshly cooked food from the local guest house or restaurant. You will have breakfast and dinner at the lodge and lunch available along the trail. You can find a wide variety of Nepali and Western food as well as drinks. The bottled water is available along the trail until the last village. You can buy boiling water from the lodge or restaurant or you can use Iodine or water purifying medicines.

Electricity, Telephone and Internet

Most of the lodges/ guest houses take an additional charge for battery charging. There is no electricity in all the places in Everest Base Camp Trek. There is electricity or solar power where you can recharge your camera batteries, laptop, mobile, etc. that costs you need to pay extra. Everest Base Camp Trek offers the availability of internet and telephone in almost all the places. They have Everest Link for the internet and you can use NTC/Ncell Sim card for the telephone. You can get an internet password from the hotel counter for telephone and the internet cost would be extra.

Trekking Equipment

It's not necessary to spend a lot of money on extra equipment and clothing before your trip. The majority of these gears can be bought at reasonable rates in Kathmandu.

Trekking Days

The time schedule is very important for enjoying the trip among the Guide porters and trekkers Each morning after packing our bags and hot breakfast, we set off on the day’s walk. After walking for 3-4 hours we stop for lunch at around midday. The afternoon’s walk. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent exploring the village, doing a bit of washing, or simply relaxing with a good book. On some days we will arrive at our destination by lunchtime and the entire afternoon will be free.
