Excellent Trekking Company and 5 Stars for Ganesh and Chiriing, my guide and porter

    Hellen.P, December 02, 2023

During December 2023 I trekked to Gokyo Lakes. I organised the trek with the company Footprint Adventure.
In 2019 I completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Footprint Adventure. I was so pleased with the organisation then, I saw no reason at all to scout around for another trekking company, of which there are many based in Kathmandu.
MountMania organised for me my guide Ganesh, as well as my porter Chirring.
Both men went far and beyond looking after my welfare and comfort during the trek. They did not treat this excursion as just another job, but we together very quickly fell into the routine of three mates exploring the high Himalaya together. I would have no hesitation in trekking with these men in the future.
Sharan, the brain behind Footprint Adventure, treated me as a valued member of their extended family.
I was pleased to spend some social time with Rupak and Binod before returning to Australia.
I wholeheartedly recommend Footprint. Sharan, Ganesh and Chirrring to any prospective trekkers in the future. You cannot go wrong with this company.
    Happy Trekking

    Amazing Hospitality and Organization

    Danielle.L, December 02, 2023

After they came highly recommended from a friend, we decided to book our 15 day Everest Base Camp trek with Footprint Adventures. From the moment we enquired to the day we left Nepal, we couldn’t fault this fabulous local company and have nothing but good things to say. Sharan was extremely responsive and friendly and so helpful in answering all of our pre-trip questions and making all elements of planning and prepping so easy. We also thought the price for their package was very reasonable and well worth the money.

Going local was something really important to us, and Footprint’s connections and knowledge really showed at every stage. They know what they’re doing, and they do it well. Before the trek, Ganesh helped up buy our gear while in Thamal which was a huge help and we appreciated the local knowledge on where to go!

Our guide for the trip was Ashish and we were introduced the day before we flew out to Lukla. He was absolutely brilliant the entire trek and we truly couldn’t have made it without him. He was patient, knowledgable and not only helped us navigate the trickiness of hiking at altitude, but made every step enjoyable.
To add to this, Ashish is a yoga and sound healing instructor and we were lucky enough to have a couple of sessions during our trek. The most special one being at base camp itself where we took 10 minutes out to be in the moment and meditate looking out onto the glacier. Once in a lifetime moment. Ashish went the extra mile and is not only a talented guide (he made the trek seem so easy himself but never wavered in his patience and support in us going slowly when we struggled!) but just an all round caring person with a good sense of humour which helped along the way! He even gave a shoulder massage one night, something that many other guests in the teahouses were envious of!

To top it off we also got to know our porter, Bikal, who was also extremely patient and a great guy. It was also his first time to EBC but you would never have known. He often would walk at our pace so we all felt like part of a team and on the day we walked to base camp he came with us and it felt like such an achievement reaching it together!

Accommodation and meals were fantastic and honestly much better than we were expecting!

Towards the end of our EBC trek the weather was not looking great and we were super fortunate to be lucky on the day we flew the weather cleared, and both Sharan and Ashish were incredible at making sure we got a flight out back to Kathmandu.

Thank you you Ashish, Sharan and the rest of the Footprint team for making our trip so special! We hope to book another trip again in the future through you 😊

Everest Heli Tour--- best decision ever made

    Shekhar.P, November 25, 2023

The Everest Heli Tour was the perfect choice for me as I was short on time but eager to experience the majesty of Kala Patthar. The journey was seamless, with breathtaking aerial views of snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and the stunning Khumbu Icefall. Landing at Kala Patthar was surreal; standing amidst the towering Himalayas, I felt an indescribable sense of awe. The first glance of Mount Everest was a dream come true! The trip was short yet packed with unforgettable moments. If you're on a tight schedule but crave an authentic Himalayan experience, this tour is a must-do!

"Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake Trek with FOOTPRIINT!

    Aaron Rozario, November 25, 2023

My partner and I embarked on the Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake Trek with Footprint Adventure in October/November, and it was an experience beyond words. Sharan, our trip manager at Footprint, ensured everything ran seamlessly, keeping us informed every step of the way. His attentive care before, during, and after the trek was exemplary – he even covered a night's stay in Pokhara due to an unforeseen change in our itinerary.

Our guide, Ganesh, and porter, Chhiring were the true stars of the journey. Ganesh's knowledge, care, and infectious sense of humor made the trek unforgettable. His excellent English skills made communication effortless, and he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even arranging for a doctor when I fell ill. Chhiring, our porter, was equally fantastic. His jovial personality and excellent English, not to mention his shared love of cricket, added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trek. I have no doubt he'll make an exceptional guide one day!

The trek itself was nothing short of spectacular. Challenging yet immensely rewarding, the scenery was simply out of this world. And the people we encountered along the way only added to the richness of the experience.

I can't recommend the team at Footprint highly enough. They truly offer the best way to experience the Annapurna region. When we return for another adventure, we'll definitely be requesting Chirring and Ganesh as our guides once more. Thank you, Footprint Adventure, for an unforgettable journey!"

EBC 2023 - experience of my life

    PascalD, November 18, 2023

Well organized trek, best guide Ashish and porters Dawa and Yugal, we were always feeling welcomed and supported by all people involved. The trek itself was a dream come true, epic sceneries and overall satisfying hospitality.
Maybe the choice of the tea lodges can be revised at some points.

Unfortunately, we had to fly from Ramechap airport to Lukla, meaning we had to take a mini-bus from Kathmandu to Ramechap, 5 hrs. drive on bumpy roads in the middle of the night...

"A Solo Journey to Serenity – Unforgettable Phoksundo Lake Trek"

    Mia R., November 18, 2023

As a solo traveler, I was initially nervous about taking on the Phoksundo Lake trek. But with Footprint Adventure's impeccable guidance, my journey was nothing short of extraordinary. From Kathmandu to Dolpo, every arrangement was seamless. The turquoise-blue Phoksundo Lake is breathtakingly beautiful – the photos don't do justice! My guide, Sharan, was incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel safe throughout the trek. The solitude of the trails and the warm hospitality of the locals gave me a sense of peace I hadn't felt in years. Highly recommend this trek for solo adventurers seeking tranquility and natural beauty.

Had the dreamiest time on a mad honey hunt in Nepal!

    Sergio. S, November 18, 2023

When I got to Nepal for the Mad Honey hunt, it was like living a dream. Right from the start, Sharan was there, telling me what we were gonna do. I was so pumped.

Gotta admit, thinking about facing lots of bees got me a bit scared. But Sharan and the guide made it all cool. The guide helped me out big time – turned the kinda scary thing into crazy fun.

As we walked through Nepal's cool views, it was a mix of excitement and a little worry. But when we found the honey, worries disappeared. Trying that fresh Mad Honey was like finding a treasure, so dang tasty.

But here's the thing: after eating the honey, felt a lttle hallucinated. Wasn't ready for that, but it made the whole thing even more wild.

Looking back, the trip was a rollercoaster of feelings and flavors. Big thanks to Sharan and the guide for making my dream real. If you want an adventure that's heart-pounding and super tasty, go for Nepal's Mad Honey hunt. It's seriously something you won't forget!
