EBC Plus Gokyo Lakes Trek 2022

    Prasann V, July 05, 2022

To all the readers who are checking out this blog & company for their next trekking adventure in Nepal.

    Look no further !!

It was an absolute treat to be associated with this company and it’s people who basically have you covered in all respects of the journey.

So we happened to do the EBC & Gokyo Trek together and what a spectacular journey it was.

The sights, the hospitality, the kind natured Nepali people would make you feel so much at home that you could forget where you came from.

Our very knowledgable guide Ramesh Thapa and ever enthusiastic porter Chiring Marde were nothing short of the best in the business and meticulously took care of each minute detail in making our journey the most memorable one.

Trekking in Nepal for the first time would make you have a larger than life experience with all the breath taking sights around and surely would provide one a very humbling experience.

I would strongly recommend traveling just post the peak season which is the first fortnight of June for the most serene and almost private experience of trekking in Nepal.

The pretty meadows, the extremely beautiful flora, the sereneness of the place is something that you won’t experience during the trekking season, so this is highly recommended.

Although you would have to miss out on the best of accommodation options which are only open during season time.

That’s all from me and I hope this information is useful.

    Happy & Safe Travels !

To the Annapurna Base Camp with the best hospitality of Footprint Adventure

    Sarah. W, July 03, 2022

Sharan runs Footprint Adventure, which has a very professional team that made my trek on the Annapurna Circuit an amazing experience. Yes, a lot of people hike the Annapurna Circuit without a tour company or a guide, but it was well worth it to have the Footprint Adventure team take care of me from the moment I landed in Kathmandu until the day I left the country. This gave me the peace of mind to enjoy the breathtaking views the trail had to offer. To give you an example, Sharan sent me a full itinerary for the dates I asked for within 24 hours of my first inquiry. Not only that, but I ended up asking for more changes to the plan while we were already on the road, which Sharan and my guide Lok worked to make happen on the spot. My guide Lok was also very knowledgeable and helpful in every way. During the two weeks I was on the trail, he and my porter worked nonstop to make sure I had everything I needed and had the best time possible. Overall, I had a great time in Nepal thanks to the amazing Footprint Team, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to go trekking there.

A great trek to Upper Mustang

    Alexander. B, June 22, 2022

We went to the Tiji festival as a group of three: my wife, her father, and I. We trekked from north of Jomsom to Lo Manthang. Muktinath was the end of the way back. We took a different route than usual to make room for extra stops, and we stayed in Mustang for a few extra days.
Our plans for changes before we got there went smoothly, and the Footprint Adventure team had customized our trip according to our preferences. Costs for things like a third porter were reasonable.
The night before we leave for Pokhara, we meet the guide for the trek itself in Kathmandu and the Ramesh. the guide was very conscious about our food and served us great thakali food   He walked us through the route and answered any questions we had. The team (the guide and the three porters) were friendly and helpful the whole time. Although the paths we chose were safe, one should be warned that some locations can be difficult.
The tour itself was hard on your body, but you got to see beautiful places and learn a lot about the country. In general, the tea houses can be a little plain, especially during the busy Tiji festival. Footprint Adventure tried to find us the best rooms they could, but there were often none available. Overall, the Footprint Adventure Team was a lot of fun, and they have the best facilities.

Incredible Annapurna Base Camp and Footprint Team

    Gabriel. A, June 20, 2022

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this trek was. Thanks to the amazing Footprint Adventure team, which has been nothing but perfect at organizing the logistics, my first trip to Nepal was better than anything I could have imagined.
Our main guide, Ganesh, and his assistant, Dipak, were both great. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional, and they took great care of us. Their help, patience, and great sense of humor made all the difference, and I can't thank them enough. They made this event so much fun and gave us so many good memories that we will never forget it. I feel so lucky to have met them, and I hope we will meet again. Our main guide, Ganesh, did a great job. His knowledge and organization were top-notch the whole way through the trek. Even though the weather was bad at first and he had to change our schedule, his quick thinking and calm confidence made sure that everyone was safe and had the best time possible on the mountain. Dipak went through a waterfall twice to show us the way, and Ganesh managed to keep all of our gear dry while going through it. Both of them were also very concerned about our health and looked for signs of altitude sickness, which they responded to right away.
The trek to Annapurna Base Camp gave amazing views of the mountain and tropical forest. I would suggest this trek with Footprint Adventure to anyone. All of us at Footprint Adventure want to thank Ganesh, Dipak, and the rest of the team for giving us this amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience in your beautiful country. I will be back for sure.

    Best trekking company hands down!

Ms. Valerie Breanne Lenuik, June 10, 2022

My friend and I had THE BEST experience with Footprint Adventures. We were so well taken care of as soon as we landed in Nepal all the way until we departed.

We trekked to Everest Base Camp. Our trekking guide Ashish and our porter Rutna did a fantastic job! Every morning he would lead us in a group yoga session before breakfast, which helped ease our sore muscles and warm us up for the day's trekking. Ashish is fluent in English and we had no issues with communication whatsoever. He also knew lots of information about the mountains, landmarks, and culture; he was very knowledgeable about the region and was able to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend Ashish, he is very laid back and super easy to get along with.

We went in late May near the end of the trekking season and had many cloudy days which obstructed the mountain views at times. We also had to take a helicopter from Kathmandu to Lukla due to poor weather, (which didn't cost us too much extra) so be aware that planes may not go out closer to monsoon season. I would strongly recommend going in prime season (October-November, and February-April). We got very lucky and the clouds cleared for our final trek to Base Camp, but I'm sure many other trekkers were not as lucky and didn't get the best mountain views. We also were unable to fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu due to poor weather. However, Ashish and our porter made sure we were able to get back to Kathmandu in time for our flight home :)

As two females, my friend and I felt very comfortable when accompanied by a guide and/or our porter. There were many single female trekkers and would encourage any females to come.

We were so well taken care of and included in the Footprint family. We will go with Footprint on our next trek, and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

2 Gals on the trek of a lifetime

Kristen Ann Grittani, June 10, 2022

We (a group of 2 ladies) did EBC wish Ashish and we are so glad we went with this company! Everything was very well planned from start to finish but easy enough to change plans based on our preference.

Our guide Ashish and our porter Rutna always made sure that our needs were met and did everything they could to keep us healthy. Ashish did morning yoga with us to get us going, and even found us the best lattes above 4000m :) As two gals travelling alone, it made us feel a lot better to have this team here to support us.

Even when we were exhausted, we were still smiling.

In the end we had to make a few modifications to the trek for our health and scheduling, but our team made sure that we were always safe and made it where we had to be.

This can be a very difficult trek but it is so much better when you have a positive guide and porter that encourage you and keep you healthy. We were also at the end of the season, which make weather and cloudiness a big factor in your experience. Be prepared for a tough trek and things not always going according to plan - but always a welcome adventure.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a positive experience that can be catered to your specific needs.
