Mr. Madhav Adhikari grew up in the remote mountain village of Phulkharka in Nepal's Dhading district. After completing his schooling, he moved to Kathmandu for further education. He vividly remembers the day he had the opportunity to trek the Annapurna Circuit with his uncle's company. This experience deeply connected him with nature and the mountains, inspiring him to start his career as a trekking guide. After several years in this role, Madhav established Footprint Adventure in 2017 to offer authentic travel experiences to fellow adventure seekers.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism Management in Dortmund, Germany. "Der Kunde ist König" (The customer is king) is a saying in Germany that holds great significance for him. His goal is to represent Nepal's natural beauty in the global tourism market. Madhav has traveled to over two dozen countries, including the USA, United Kingdom, South Africa, European Union, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, and India, to promote his business and learn more about the tourism industry. He is fluent in English, Nepali, Hindi, and German. His dream is to elevate Nepal's tourism industry and local companies on the world stage. He believes that by working together, Nepalese trekking and travel companies can achieve new heights in global tourism.
