Best Time for Hot Air Balloon Safari in Tanzania

Dry Season (June to October); is generally considered the peak safari season in Tanzania. The weather is optimally dry and sunny with cooler temperatures in the morning and the evening, which is ideal for Hot Air Ballooning. Wildlife is also easier to spot as animals congregate around the water resources and the landscapes are less lushier, providing much clearer views.

Months from June to September are particularly good for witnessing the Great Migration, where the herds of Wildebeest and Zebra move through the Serengeti in search of fresh grazing.

However, the Shoulder Seasons (November to December, and March to May) can also be a good option for Balloon Safaris in Tanzania, though the wildlife may be less predictable due to rains. The shoulder seasons offer fewer crowds and often lower prices.
